T-Mobile will be lunching on October 22 a G1 smartphone based on Google’s open source Android mobile operational system. Before the phone hits the streets reports claim preorders for the device have already hit 1.5 million. The G1 smart phone is expected to strongly compete with Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s recently introduced BlackBerry Storm.

G1 Android Google Phone
Presale orders are currently limited to existing T-Mobile customers. Orders placed before Oct. 21 will be shipped on or around Nov. 10. T-Mobile is selling the G1 for $179, with a two-year voice and data service plan.
Certainly, the initial sales of the G1 will be compared to those of the Apple iPhone, which sold 1 million first-generation iPhones in 74 days in 2007 and a stunning 1 million iPhone 3Gs in three days in July.
Let’s wait and see!

McCain:
Republican White House hopeful John McCain distanced himself on Wednesday presidential final debate from Jorge W Bush saying: “I’m not President Bush. If you want to run against President Bush, you should have run four years ago”
Well, if I was Obama, I would’ve said: yes, you are not President Bush but you voted 95% of the time with him and that’s pretty much Bush!
Here’s McCain’s statement:

Third and Final Presidential Debate - John McCain and Barack Obama, October 15, 2008
McCain, the “I know how to do it” candidate, did not answer the questions. He didn’t look at the American people and tell them what exactly his plans are and how he is going to be doing it. Instead he wasted our time attacking he’s opponent.
Well, he may be right but he didn’t tell us how “he knows how to do it” as he keep claiming repeatedly!
Obama was a little better answering the questions; nonetheless he also wasted our time answering McCain’s attacks. What he should’ve done was telling the American people I will not waste your time answering wrong allegations but here’s my plan and here’s how I’m going to be achieving it.
Overall, it wasn’t convincing at all, a lot of spinning, a lot of question wasn’t answered properly and clearly.

Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, introduced Tuesday to journalists, analysts and bloggers in a small auditorium on Apple’s campus the new Macbook Pro and Macbook portable computers that he said were manufactured in a new way.
The price of its new white aluminum Macbook was reduced by just a $100, to $999.
The main focus was on the innovating manufacturing process, which would allow it to build lighter and more reliable products by starting with a 2.5-pound aluminum block according to Jonathan Ives, designer and the Senior Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple Inc..

The New MacBook Pro
Steve Jobs passed more than a dozen finished palm-rest frames through the audience. “It’s not only incredibly light but it’s very, very strong,” he said. “We’ve been working super hard to build unibody enclosures for some new notebooks.” The new products answered much of the speculation in the last month over the “brick,” a term for a new product that had been widely discussed among Apple product enthusiasts on the Internet.
The Macbook Pro model comes with a glass touchpad, a 15.4-inch LED backlighted display and a range of other new features, with a starting price of $1,999. Also a new13-inch version, based on Macbook line, will start at $1,299.
