I don’t know where those negative comments on Jews are in just two entries. For the date on that comment your refer to, anyone can tell she is not coming back to respond. What’s your issue?

It so happens that Western countries include a whole bunch of them. You sure sound not only very angry and bitter, but also very, very paranoid. Go take your meds and don’t come out until the world is safe from your paranoid attacks.

@S.Levy In response to your first comment: To speak as you have is most unwise. It would be to the benefit of not only yourself, but everyone who reads this, if you would do some primary research on topics that you plan to speak on before saying anything. What is more depressing than some who is both loud and wrong? Your statements are a gross representation of the ignorance of the world in relation to not only Islam, but history and serve as another proof that much work is to be done in way of properly educating the masses. What you don’t know can and will hurt you. In summation, you need to know the whole history, complete facts, and an open mind/heart before speaking against a person, group of people, or entire religion. Islam is about PEACE NOT HATE.

Another question to everyone: Why has the Western World progressed and became so much richer than the Arabo-Muslim countries? Was petroleum so well-known and exploited in the 18th. / 19th. centuries? While Arab leaders, despots, dictators and tyrants were hell-bent trying to satisfy their super-inflated egos the Western countries were hell-bent inventing, developing, establishing means for better ways of life. And thanks to a majority of us Jews, whether you people like it or not, the world -in terms- is afar better place with everything we contributed, from medicine and health to industry, commerce, business. You want to boycott us? Sure thing JUST DO IT PROPERLY: STOP USING EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT INVENTED AND/OR DEVELOPED BY JEWS! From vaccines to cell-phones to communications to flight to vehicles to food – TO EVERYTHING!!! I wish and hope you do so so that we may see you anti-semites rotting in your illnesses, starving, drinking your precious petroleum to survive!.

Let me ask you Linda Davis: Is this what you were taught since childhood? Destruction, murder, blood? What was YOUR PREJUDICE CAUSED BY US JEWS? Why don’t you tell both sides of the story and give details about the harm and prejudice we have suffered through the millenia? And you thinks that Tunisia is really, truly Arab? Huge mistake and illusion – the same as with Egypt who’s true population and inhabitants are the Copts! You must brush up on world history ansd state facts, not myths. Do you know who Mohammed (Maomet) really was? Just another murdering opportunist who found a bunch of naive and credulous scum to follow him on his pillaging and killing sprees and who invented a new religion just to consolidate his “conquests”. The scribe who wrote the Al Quaran was a Jew (Maomet was totally illiterate) and this Scribe wrote three letters in the preface meaning: THIS I DON’T BELIEVE. Translate this to Arabic, take the three initials and check!!!

The article above is a heart-felt-type-lets-talk-lofty-appeal, but for an outsider, it is confused. And I can say this because I am an outsider.

While the thought of being a Tunisian right now is romantic, it is not in the least appealing, safety-wise. In brief, cerebral questions should not become existential, as they threaten to become in Tunisia. And aiming only at the cerebral (not the heart), I have the following suggestions for Tunisians (Disclaimer: I do not know a single Tunis):

1) Turkey is the envy of the middle east because of, and not despite, its stone-etched secularism.
2) All questions at this point are cultural, and not economic. This is the time to build a civilization and not factories.
3) These times represent true opportunities for new beginnings which require brave and honest hearts. These are not the run-of-the-mill opportunities where cowards subvert systems to poison it with their cowardice and corruption. But, I guarantee you, they will try if no one emerges with the above mentioned brave and true heart.

What prevented this democratic goal from succeeding at a time before Ben Ali became autocratic?
